This year's Dj Esanto Yearmix has been put online on two hosts for you to grab. Below you can find the links. If you have the mix and you somehow have misplaced the tracklisting and/or the cue-file, you can grab them from here (the tracklisting) and here (the cue-file). About the covers... the last few bricks are being built in as I type this. They'll be online later on... Expected are: the front cover, back cover, a double-inlay and a CD cover! Stay tuned!

OK, here are the Yearmix 2007 covers. "Simplicity in its finest form". Originally I had plans to create covers like I created for the 2006 Yearmix but as you can see I moved in a totally different direction. I used a C64 emulator to create them with the original C64 colors and its simple but very effective character-set. Enjoy them!

Dj Esanto's Yearmix 2006

Yearmix 2006 is online! One month full of mixing, too much coffee, blown-up ears, missed phonecalls, lots of airplay, fun, hope, tears and laughter has paid of. I haven't done anything related to mixing from April to approx. November 2006 but I was sure of one thing: I'm going to make a yearmix 2006. While I was creating the preliminary track listing, looking for the right songs, scratching names, adding others, I wasn't really sure I could pull it off and I wasn't even sure while I was mixing the first 10 songs but my confidence grew each day until those 7 mixless months felt like just 24 hours and I really felt what I've been missing those 7 months: mixing! OK, let's get down to business!

Two links, each referring to one RAR archive. Download both archives and unrar using e.g. WinRAR. The package includes the mix itself (mp3), the track listing (nfo), the cue-sheet (cue) and an additional file to CRC-check. The last one is just there to check the CRC-integrity of the mp3-file. About the covers (check below)... I wanted to do something special and something I have done a long, long time ago. In the late 80's I designed a print for a T-shirt and it consisted of words, formed with letters all cut from several magazines. The text itself came from the "He Man" cartoon intro. The Yearmix 2006 covers are created the same way like the print for the T-shirt. Enjoy the mix and the covers. You can always drop me an email (check contact page) for info and comments. Too bad I don't have a guestbook, due to spammers and I couldn't get one working that blocks spamming... Dj Esanto's Yearmix 2005

It's online! My 2005 Yearmix is online! Some background info: 97 tracks are in it. Together with the intro and outro, there's a total of 99 tracks. The mix starts with "Knuffelrock" and some very nice soul at 64bpm and it ends at the level of 143bpm. In this yearmix you can find other genres like r&b, nederhop, pop, hip-hop, dance and a touch of rock and a bit of trance. And I really like to have some Dutch music in it so artists like Ali B, Brace, Lange Frans en Baas B, Chipz and Kus are also in my 2005 yearmix.

Dj Esanto's Yearmix 2005 is downloadable from here and here. The yearmix has been cut into two pieces. Two RAR archives to be precise, download them both and unRAR using WinRAR (get it from here). The tracklisting and the cue-sheet are included in these archives. I'll put more download mirrors in the near future.

Along the yearmix, you'll find the tracklisting, the cue-sheet and "extended versions" of both the intro and outro as I originally intended them but due to the length of yearmix itself, I had to shorten them to stay inside the 60-minutes mark. Dj Esanto's Yearmix 2003

During the last 2/3 months of 2003, I've created my first 2003. I had plans creating one in 2002 but things didn't go as I intended and I decided to wait since creating a yearmix needs a lot of preparation and of course skill and experience. And I felt I wasn't ready in 2002. The year 2003 was different. During that summer I decided to get myself some skill and experience and I collected a lot of songs from 2002 and from the first few months 2003. It took me 4 months but there it was. The 2nd volume in the Cocktails and Chicks series! Twice a yearmix, 198 songs, 99 songs per CD. I played a lot with loops. That didn't work out very well in all "looped" sections but it was so fun creating CACTPM2. I took that level of fun, put it in my 2003 yearmix. And of course my mixing skills got better and I got more experienced which resulted in more mixes and of course my latest project: my 2004 yearmix :-)
