Welcome to this part of my website where you can read all the latest on my Cocktails and Chicks series...
How did it all start with the CACTPM series? You want to find out? Read below :)
C.A.C.T.P.M. 8 "The UNKNOWN: something with the 80's"
Current mix status: browsing through my 80's cd-single inventory and selecting tracks... I won't be starting mixing this one until January 2011. Still collecting cd-singles and I definitely want this mix to be a very special one. We might be looking at another 2x 99 tracks spread over 2 CDs!
Well, I'm working on a great average, just a handful mega-mixes in a few years time. Last year I pulled a big one out of my hat and it was massive: a 4CD Italo Disco mix. This time I will do another thing in the 80's but primarily concentrate of the great disco and dance we love from the 80's. Yes, also artists grown in the Stock, Aitken and Waterman studios will feature in this mix. Think "Yearmix" (that would be one with 99+ tracks pushed into an hour) and this mix will be one like a DJ Esanto yearmix but with 80's tracks!
C.A.C.T.P.M. 7 "The Italo Disco Edition"
Latest news: C.A.C.T.P.M. 7 has been be aired on Radio Stad Den Haag during the program Discontinu the 17th and the 18th of July. For more information check the Radio Stad Den Haag website.
What has started in the summer of 2006, has finally gone online in July 2009. Yes, here's Volume 7 of my mix series Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix... The Italo Disco Edition! Four CD's, each measuring up to ~60 minutes, containing ~38 tracks, together bringing a whopping total of 150 Italo Disco tracks!! Want to peak at the full tracklisting? Check HERE. But for best results... listen to the mix without the track listing. Be amazed, be surprised!
I have cut up the mix in RAR archives and placed them onto two file hosts. The RAR archives just contain the actual mp3 files. To get the cue-sheets and the SFV-check file follow this link.
Let's get to the links to the mix. A quick note: both hosts contain the exact same archives...

C.A.C.T.P.M. 6 "Turn Up The Bass Edition"
CACTPM6 has already been aired on at least two radio stations, one of them: WayFM ! And on the 31st of December 2006, the "Turn Up The Bass Edition" in the CACTPM series will be aired on Radio Reflex Mechelen between 18:00h and 21:00h (thanks to Bjorn!).
You have waited a long time. Hell, I did also. But here it is. Download wisely, don't spread the link but don't hesitate to share the mix with others. C.A.C.T.P.M. 6 covers lots of hiphouse and house classics from the late 80's and early 90's. Songs you once knew but as you grow older, you forget them. There's no radiostation in the world that plays them. Always the same ones but never that special one. Until now. C.A.C.T.P.M. 6 is a 2CD mix, containing 198 songs, taken from the 25 Turn Up The Bass cd's. A special thanks to my good friend Maurice for the cd's! I once had a dream and this year, the last couple of months I made that dream come true. And also a big thanks to Ben Liebrand, the man who inspired me and will continue to inspire me to create huge mixes like these. There's a tribute hidden somewhere in this mix. :-)
C.A.C.T.P.M. 6 "Turn Up The Bass Edition" has been cut into pieces and several downloads. To get CD1 of this mix, make sure you download CD1part1, CD1part2 and CD1part3. These 3 files are RAR archives (unrar using e.g. WinRAR, get it from here). To get CD2 of this mix, download CD2part1, CD2part2 and CD2part3. If you are a fan, just like me, of Ben Liebrand and his 1-hour Grandmixes, you'll be okay by just clicking and downloading.
Enjoy this mix. Enjoy my Christmas 2005 present to you all. See you soon in the next CACTPM. :P

C.A.C.T.P.M. 5 "Midsummer Night Party Mix 2005"
Yes! C.A.C.T.P.M. 5 is online! Complete with cue-sheet and covers! Several mixes I created have a 'behind the scenes' story and with C.A.C.T.P.M. 5 it's a special one. What is it? Well, I think I already told the story, haven't I? :) Anyway, enjoy this 1CD 72m43s summer mix and don't hesitate to drop me an email or to drop a message in my guestbook to tell me about what you think of CACTPM5...

Here's my contribution to the summer. It's a 3CD mix containing 45 summer songs per CD which brings the summer anywhere at anytime. Expect strange but working combinations. Summer hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and very recent songs. CD1 has been cut into two parts: cd1part1 and cd1part2. Grab the files cd2part1 and cd2part2 to complete CD2 and the 3rd CD has been divided into cd3part1 and cd3part2. All files are RAR archives, unrar part1 and you will get the mp3. Enjoy!!

Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix Volume 2
A 2CD mix, subtitled: "Twice half a yearmix and more". 99 songs (from 2002 and 2003) per CD. Created in the summer 2003. Took me longer than I expected. Try to mix with a hot sun burning outside so most of the mixing were done late in the evening. Back online! CD1 is downloadable in 3 parts: part1, part2 and part3. Three RAR archives, unrar using WinRAR (you can grab that from here) to get the complete CD1 mp3! CD2 is also downloadable in 3 parts: part1, part2 and part3. Also use WinRAR to unrar to get the complete CD2 mp3! Please report any broken links.

Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix Volume 1
3CD's full of dance, club and trance from the 2000 and 2001 with a touch of "late 90's" songs :) Starting of @ 120bpm and we close the doors at the end of CD3 @ 142bpm. Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix: "The story within"
We have to go back to 1999, December 1999 to be precise. Ben Liebrand released his 3CD Grandmix "The Millennium Edition". I was still "oldskool", mixing on my Technics SL-1210MK2 turntables which were connected to a mixing console. The output of the mixing console was connected to my computer on which I digitally recorded my mixes and vinyl records :-) But listening to that 3CD Grandmix changed it all for me. I wanted to create mixes like that. Cutting and pasting on the computer! And so the C.A.C.T.P.M. story began although the name wasn't there yet.
My first 2CD mix, where I mixed vinyl records on my turntables, adjusting BPM's to get everything right. But there was no planning. No actual tracklist. I just brought records together and kind of hoped for the best ;) That was CD1. For CD2, I brought songs together, make a tracklist, see which songs fit best. etc. etc. The mix was finished, can't quite recall when exactly but it was just after Ben Liebrand released his 3CD Grandmix "The Summer Edition". My 2CD creation is called "Dance Hit-Mix 2001". CD1 was broadcasted on Radio Veronica: Ben Liebrand's show "In The Mix". Thanks, Ben :) Since I don't have the original cover data, I had to scan them in. Check them out below! ;)
YES! The mix is back online. Get cd1part1, cd1part2 and cd1part3 for the first CD and cd2part1, cd2part2 and cd2part3 for the second CD!
Back to the C.A.C.T.P.M. series. The Dance Hit-Mix 2001 was created using ONLY 12" vinyl records but man, it takes so much time to digitally convert them, get rid of additional noise etc. That's when I decided to use CD tracks for my future mixes. In the summer/fall of 2002 I released Cocktails and Chicks: The Perfect Mix Vol. 1. But not before I changed the name "Cocktails and ChiXxX: The Perfect MiXxX" into what it has been since Volume 1 originally got released.
That was history, let's get back to the present, eh page up or something :)
